One of the few times we realize there are twelve years between us
Me (Seated, lap topped by Fynn, watching The Thing About My Folks - which, by the way, is a pretty good little movie): "I have such a soft spot for Peter Falkner."
Scott: "You mean Peter Falk. From Columbo."
Me: "Yeah, Peter Falk. From Princess Bride.
Scott: "You mean Columbo."
Me: "No, I mean Princess Bride. He was the grandpa in Princess Bride."
Scott: "No, he was Columbo."
Me: "I was too little to watch Columbo. I never watched Columbo."
Scott: "Ohmigod. You never watched Columbo."

You never watched Colombo?
Now I'm depressed.
Seriously - this little conversation did make me giggle :)
And as for the story about your grandmother sneezing - you certainly write good stories! I'm sure you tell them well too having seen a couple of your videos.
Don't worry, I've never seen Columbo either. Hub-E is always making references to shows I've never seen too. And we're only 7.5 years apart! But he should have been born in another era, you know what I mean? Talk about being a folkie! Well, at least he's not heavy into "classic rock" and 80's metal. I know some Gen-Xrs who are weird like that. ;)
Some friends of mine were trying to explain to me why we need ANOTHER movie about Bobby Kennedy, and they looked at me like I was crazy when I said I wasn't even born yet when he was President. Like.....umm.....not much I can do about that.
And Carp is so NOT SB, but I still like fussy. ;-)
Now remember....this is BOBBY (Robert) Kennedy (never pres)- not JOHN Kennedy. Who was also shot, sadly, while campaigning.
Carp: My hometown. Definitely NOT SB. (SB still lacking in charm by comparison, ha ha)
My Dad and stepmom are 18 years apart and have been together 17 years! I think it's great! Makes for funny conversations like this one:)
I love The Princess Bride!
